The 2016 Tuscan Blend is made from a 90/10 blend of our Frantoio and Leccino varieties. The Frantoio contributes subtle walnut notes with a nose that shows hints of ginger and black pepper spices.
The palate is very clean and deliciously creamy with mild bitterness and a perfectly balanced finished. This oil was awarded a Silver in the 20th National Australian Olive Oil Awards in September 2016.
The ginger and black pepper spice character lend itself to adding an interesting kick to the dishes it is used in. The spices are notable on the front to middle of the palate as opposed to intensely pungent oils where the kick is on the back of the palate and in the throat.
