The 2016 Spanish Blend is made from a 70/15/15 blend of our Arbequina, Picual and Frantoio varieties. The Arbequina is the dominant flavour as the Picual was mild and only had a small contribution. We broke with tradition and added a small amount of Frantoio for a little more complexity. The result is an oil that has a tomato and rocket aroma with a hint of capsicum. The palate is clean with a toasted nuts flavour, moderate bitterness and mild finish. It is a very versatile extra virgin olive oil.
This oil was awarded a Bronze in the 20th National Australian Olive Oil Awards in September 2016.
